INTU1420 - Academic Practices (0 credit hours)
This course fosters the development of academic practices suitable for digital natives in a knowledge-based society. Leveraging mobile learning and using elements of inquiry-based and challenge-based learning, course instructors facilitate student collaboration, exploration and creativity. Academic practices developed in the course include team-based learning; formulating and investigating a research question; accessing, sharing, organizing, evaluating, analyzing and synthesizing information; documenting and presenting findings; reflection; and self- and peer-evaluation. As the process of learning is a central focus, formative assessment constitutes a significant measure of student achievement.
